Our sermon series for the month of January will be exploring the remarkable family tree of Jesus. Both Matthew’s gospel and Luke’s gospel record genealogies for Jesus. They’re mostly the same, but with some minor variations. Interestingly enough, Matthew’s gospel names some of the women in Jesus’ family tree. There are five women named. Those remarkable women, and their stories, are what we’re going to focus on in for the month of January.
