Missions
Bel Air United Methodist Church offers numerous Mission opportunities to share God's grace through outreach both locally and internationally.
Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna
What Is It? Bel Air United Methodist Church works in partnership with Harford Habitat for Humanity to provide safe, affordable housing for the working poor of our community.
What Do We Do? We have been building houses in Harford County for more than 10 years – and will continue to assist our brothers and sisters in need to attain safe, affordable housing for years to come!
How Can You Help? All skill levels are needed from professional licensed plumbers and electricians to volunteers ready and willing to do everything from hang and sand drywall to make and serve lunches to those working on site.
What Is It? Volunteers in Mission (VIM) are persons who go on short-term, domestic mission trips to bring relief to those in need.
What Do We Do? Recent projects have ranged from rebuilding homes in response to Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana, and repairing flood damage in New York and New Jersey in response to Hurricanes Irene and Sandy. VIM also works closer to home as they help to prepare an Easter Seals camp at Fairlee Manor on the Eastern Shore for summer campers along with other local area single day projects
How Can You Help? VIM typically meets on the 4th Thursday of each month. Please verify meeting dates and times on the church calendar.

Chabadza – Healing Hands Across Zimbabwe
What Is It? The Chabadza Team is responding to Jesus’ call to bring relief to the last, lost, least and little by providing medical care to the Munyarari Mission in Zimbabwe. Chabadza is a Shona word meaning “come alongside.” The spirit of chabadza is to stop and help as needed as you travel along life’s path. Our goal is to come alongside the people of Zimbabwe to offer medical care.
Who Do We Serve? The villages surrounding Munyarari Mission lack immediate access to even the most basic medical care. Our clinic serves everyone – from infants to the elderly – in all health conditions and reaches out to those infected with HIV/AIDS.
What Do We Do? We provide salaries for nurses, medicines, and medical equipment to the clinic through fundraising.
How Can You Help? Join our Team! We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month – but please check church calendar for any changes. All are welcome to participate. Raise awareness! Talk about the needs of Zimbabwe among your family, friends, coworkers, and acquaintances. Direct them to our website: www.chabadza.org Donate! You may make financial contributions to this mission of health and mercy. Send or drop off your check made payable to Bel Air United Methodist Church with “Chabadza” written on the memo line.
