Creation Care Ministry

Worship God and care for others by being good stewards of Creation — water, air, soil, plants and animals. Church and community projects include recycling, garden/tree plantings and stream clean-ups. Enjoy educational nature walks, canoe trips and more. Contact Sheryl Pedrick at sherylpedrick(at)hotmail.com for more information or to volunteer.

Happy Birding!

One way that you can enjoy watching birds and help them out at the same time is by participating in a simple “citizen science” bird count. Citizen science involves the general public (amateurs) contributing to scientific research. An easy and fun way to do this is to inventory birds in your yard or local park and submit your data on-line. It’s a great activity to engage the whole family. Listed below are two programs provided by The Cornell Lab of Ornithology with which you can participate as citizen scientists. Happy birding!

It’s Time to take a Hike!

The weather may be a little crisp, but it is a beautiful chance to see through the trees in local parks and woods. If you would like to explore a
new trail, 60 Hikes within 60 Miles: Baltimore by Allison Sturm, is a good source to find directions, maps and descriptions of trails near and around
Baltimore. The book is available at Harford Co. Public Library and available free digitally through https://www.hoopladigital.com (create an account
through your library card).
