Toy Workshop

What Is It?

We collect, check, clean and refurbish gently used toys.  We also fill stockings, make gift baskets and make baby sets.

Who Do We Serve?

We serve children in need in Harford County through our church Adopt-A-Child Ministry, local social services agencies, teachers, guidance counselors and other helping agencies in the county.  Our church serves over 300 families in the Family Food Ministry and those with children are guided through the “toy shop” to choose items for their children.

What Do We Do?

We clean, check, repair and put in new batteries when needed. For 2022, we will collect toys from November 1st to November 21st.  We include directions (if needed) and bag parts together.  We will not be collecting used bikes this year. Then the Toy Workshop will open on November 25 & 26th (9am – 5pm)(the 2 days after Thanksgiving) and the week of November 27 to December 3rd (9am – 9pm)

How Can You Help?

We need many volunteers to check, clean, organize, repair and add batteries.  No specific skill or supplies are needed.  Join in the fun and fellowship (while playing with the toys), help children and families with gifts at Christmas and help accomplish a huge recycling project.
