Patrick Merrill


Harford County native Patrick Merrill began his formal musical training at the Maryland Conservatory of Music in Bel Air, Maryland. His private studies with Maryland Conservatory founder and director Dr. Duke Thompson continued into his high school years at the Baltimore School for the Arts. Patrick completed his undergraduate degree in piano performance at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University in the studio of Ms. Yong Hi Moon, as well as a Master’s degree in harpsichord performance in the studio of Dr. Adam Pearl. Having been awarded a Dean’s Fellowship, he remains a student at Peabody, currently pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts in harpsichord performance. Patrick is an adjunct faculty member in the department of music at George Washington University, as well as a piano instructor at Bel Air Music Studios. “It has been a great privilege to provide music for worship in the United Methodist Church since 2011, and I am thrilled to share that joy at Bel Air UMC!”
